This is the first song I ever wrote; I believe I was 13 years old. An older friend and more experienced song writer helped me with the bulk of this song. The chorus was the first part I started singing and the rest followed.
lyrics
I will praise your name
I will lift you on high
I will praise your name
How far your people have wandered from you
Often unfaithful their hearts have been untrue
How can I show them all of who you are?
Show your strength with your mighty outstretched arm
I will praise your name
I will lift you on high
I will praise your name
Oh how I love you I listen for your voice
As i seek for the answer I know I made the right choice
I know that your love for me will never change
So oh Lord I will praise
Praise your name
Your mercies never cease
Your mercies never cease
Our unfaithfulness has caused your heart grief
I find myself on my knees
Your mercies never cease
Your mercies never cease
I will praise your name
I will lift you on high
I will praise your name
